I am delighted to welcome you to our vibrant learning community nestled in the heart of the beautiful Waiotahe Valley. We are a stunning rural school situated between Ōhope and Ōpōtiki. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential. Our Values of: Ka Poipoia - We Care, Ka Toha - We Share, Ka Maia - We Dare, underpin everything we do at Waiotahe Valley School.
Our dedicated team of educators is passionate about delivering an academically rigorous curriculum that is balanced, engaging, and empowers learners to become confident, independent thinkers. We believe in fostering a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom, encouraging our students to explore the world around them and embrace new challenges with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Central to our philosophy is the belief that education is a partnership between school, whānau, and the wider community. We actively encourage and value the involvement of parents and caregivers in their child's learning journey, recognising the important role they play in supporting and enriching the educational experience.
As we strive for excellence in education, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated, and all students are respected and supported to succeed. We are dedicated to promoting positive relationships, resilience, and a strong sense of identity and belonging among our students, empowering them to take on challenges.
I am incredibly proud to be involved with such a positive and friendly school community. If you would like to meet with me, have a tour of the school or have any questions, feel free to contact us: admin@waiotahe.school.nz

Illness
We have had some nasty illness’s circulating throughout our school. Doctors have recommended that students stay away from school for 48 hours after recovering from a tummy bug. This precaution ensures they are not spreading illness to staff and other students.
Sports Games
A reminder to all whānau of school sports teams, if your child is too sick to come to school, they should not be attending sports games that day. This is to ensure your child fully recovers and they can be back attending school as soon as possible.
